Het achterlicht is uit te schakelen met een DIP-schakelaar
Vanaf 1954 werden de eerste locomotieven van de serie 2400 in dienst genomen bij de Nederlandse Staatsspoorwegen. Naast enkele passagierstreinen trokken ze vooral goederentreinen en werden ze ingezet bij rangeerdiensten.
